What is a Ceilidh?
New to ceilidhs? A ceilidh (pronounced "kay-lee") is a lively night of traditional folk dancing, live music, and a caller guiding everyone through the moves — no experience or partner needed. It's one of the best ways to get every generation up and dancing at once.
About the Band
Shindig Ceilidh Band have been playing together for over 5 years, bringing spirited jigs and reels to weddings, parties and events across Jersey. Our line-up — caller, guitar, fiddles, whistle, flute, piano and cajon — gives us a rich, full sound that keeps a dance floor moving all night.We've played many weddings over the years, and we're proud regulars at the Beltane Folk Festival in Sark and the Jersey Folk Festival — so however big or small your event, you're in experienced hands.
